With over three decades of experience as a music innovator, lecturer and teacher, the speaker will share his experience on how music education based on the Dharmic principle of diversity in unity – which emphasizes the essential unity of all existence – can deepen our understanding of each other and strengthen multicultural societies. The lecture will be interspersed with his musical renditions.

Dr. Luis De La Calle Aramburu

Dr. Luis De La Calle Arumburu uses music as a tool to transform people’s consciousness so that they can realize their true identities. He holds a PhD in Educational Sciences from the University of Geneva and has an intimate knowledge of European, Indian, Japanese and South American musical cultures and traditions. Through his cross-cultural integrative approach, Dr. De La Calle has developed a unique artistic expression that transcends differences and focuses on the evolution of human consciousness from the gross to the subtle; from the material to the spiritual; and from the temporal to the eternal.
